I like this "take the tour" page. They do not fear the fold.
I don't like the idea about "above the fold". There is not enough space there to really show anything. If you want more, you have to go in the dept, a bit. This page gives enough for me on the top to make me want to scroll further down. It also ends with a nice call to action.
